George & Anya

My bride had a certain goal in mind when she started planning her wedding; to have her classy budget wedding chosen for Connecticut Bride Magazine weekly column “Real Wedding of the Week”. Her task was to prove it is possible to have a beautiful, classy wedding for under $14,000, and with a lot of ingenuity and creativity she managed to pull it off. According to CT Bride, “She went to bridal shows, negotiated with all of her vendors, and read articles on how to cut costs. She learned LOTS of ways to get more bank for her buck. And no one would have EVER suspected the wedding was so inexpensive.”

The ceremony was held in our beautiful conservatory which was later converted to an intimate “sweetheart” table for the beautiful couple. The pale pink and ivory colors worked perfectly with her vintage 1930’s, and highly personalized , theme. Anya did a lot of the decorations herself with her groom George’s help pulling it all together. The conservatory’s natural light helped to focus everyone’s attention on the beautiful couple.

An hor’s d’oeuvres and dessert reception was to follow the ceremony spread out through the mansion’s first floor including the wrap around veranda. For more details on how you can plan your wedding on a budget be sure to read the article in the link below.

George and Anya’s vintage-style wedding was spotlighted in Connecticut Bride Magazine, September 26th 2013 edition of “Real Wedding of the Week”.
