Bunny Trail Fundraiser

The area in the back of Tarrywile Mansion was alive with smiles and the sound of children’s laughter as families participated in our COVID-19 safe Bunny Trail Egg Hunt fundraiser. Thank you everyone who participated, your support helps to keep Tarrywile Park the beautiful oasis you know and love. A huge shout out to Meghan Friedland, publisher of Macaroni Kid for going above and beyond in her support of Tarrywile by organizing these family friendly events.

The Bunny Trail Egg Hunt was meticulously organized and timed to ensure the safety of all who attended as well as the team of volunteers on hand to assist in all aspects of the event.

Egg Hunt Guides

Families purchased tickets to a specific time slot, upon arrival they were guided to a designated parking area where they were to wait for their turn to enter the marked Bunny Trail. Each “station” had a “bunny guide” to greet the families and instruct them on where to find their eggs on the Bunny Trail. The trail wound around the grounds behind the Mansion culminating with a pick-up of the pre-registered activity and goodie bag along with a socially distanced photo op with the Easter Bunny.

Sponsors, Donors, and Volunteers

Thank you to all who sponsored this year’s spring fundraiser; Dental Associates KIDS, Emmanuel Lutheran School Danbury, and Savings Bank of Danbury. Abundant thanks to Kelly’s Sweet Rewards for making the cute AND delicious bunny cookies for the goody bags as well as to Texas Roadhouse for donating 300 filled eggs! Not only did Texas Roadhouse donate 300 filled eggs, their very own Andy the Armadillo stopped by to spread his Texas brand of Easter cheer. Thanks, Andy, you were a bit hit!

Thank you to Kris Urban Photography for donating your time and talent by photographing our event and sharing your work with us. You did a wonderful job capturing the fun and excitement of the day.

Of course any event wouldn’t be a success without a great group of volunteers on hand to get the job done! The Bethel High School Jr. ROTC program came through again for another of our fundraisers. You were amazing and a valuable addition to the day.
