October is always one of our busiest months between fall weddings and our annual fundraisers.
This past Friday we had a different type of fall event; a retreat for the staff at Immaculate High School, our next door neighbors. The staff was treated to breakfast, a speaker, prayer time, “recess” on our beautiful grounds, lunch and a time for group discussion.
It’s always a pleasure having them here, I hope each person took away from the experience what they were meant to. Their luncheon was catered by Panera Bread.
Saturday brought about the long anticipated wedding of Shaina and Zach. I say long anticipated (for me) because there were kilts and bagpipes involved as well as an introduction of the bride and groom to the Dr. Who theme song. I had the opportunity to work as house supervisor for this event and thoroughly enjoyed seeing this sweet young couple have the wedding of their dreams.
Shaina was a pleasure to work with through out the entire planning process, and seeing the end result with everyone happy at the end of the night makes my job that much more satisfying. The vendors chosen by Shaina and Zach were; caterer for the food – Red Pepper Diner, entertainment – DJ Richard Phillips, photography – Thomas Javery, Friends & Family – set up/break down and clean up (awesome job!).
Sunday, again brought a sweet couple who held their wedding ceremony in our beautiful glass conservatory followed by a reception with most of the guest seating on our sweeping veranda. Jamie & Steve wanted to take their time and not feel rushed so they bought extra hours bringing their rental time up to 12 hours. They were able to take their time decorating, dressing and taking photo’s before the guests arrived, then have an extended cocktail hour and reception.

I’d like to say thank you to all my clients who chose Tarrywile Mansion as the venue for their event and also like to wish my brides and grooms many blessings in their marriages and in the many years to come.
