October Weddings

October seems to have surpassed the traditional June wedding in popularity at Tarrywile Park and Mansion. We had three wedding celebrations this past weekend, all taking advantage of our beautiful grounds and fall foliage.

Mandy and Scott were my first couple to book this past weekend with the specific date of Friday the 13th in mind for their wedding with an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. They both wanted a Halloween theme with haunted backdrops for their photo booth and blood orange Bellini’s for their signature drink.

The grooms’ father served the dual purpose of being the photographer for the wedding with his wife as the second photographer. Mandy and Scott are such a nice young couple with a bright future ahead of them, they were a pleasure to work with during the planning process. Saturday October Wedding

The Saturday wedding for Shannon and Paul started with a wedding ceremony at the grape arbor then proceeded to cocktail hour on the veranda followed by a reception inside the Mansion. The weather cooperated the entire weekend and all my couples had the autumn wedding they were looking for. Decorations were kept to a minimum for Shannon and Paul, they were looking for a simple yet elegant style and decided let the beauty of the grounds and the historic architecture of the Mansion be the main focus.

The vendors chosen were; Two Steps Catering, DJ Chris Nikirk, Tani Photography, Dritan Haxhia Photography & Video,  Lovely Cakes and Abbey Tent Rentals.

Sunday October Wedding

Kailynn and Joseph, my Sunday bride and groom, had their wedding ceremony at the Newtown Meeting House and reception at Tarrywile Mansion. Joseph was my main point of contact planning the wedding from California, neither the bride or groom saw the Mansion until they came into town a week before the wedding. Kailynn chose to have an more informal seating arrangement for her 120 guests by providing seating for half of the guests and encouraging the rest to mingle.
