Chris and Ryann had been planning their wedding since March of 2017. The vision they had of their day beginning with the Ryann and Chris getting ready in our bride and groom rooms complete with photo’s of the wedding party getting ready, the wedding ceremony at St. Mary’s Church in Bethel followed by a tent reception on the Conservatory Lawn for 150 of their friends and relatives.
The day started out partly cloudy and warm, with the wedding party getting ready in their air conditioned rooms. A slight mishap occurred when the wedding dress unexpectedly needed some repairs. While our house supervisor and the catering staff tried to keep everyone calm the quick thinking maid of honor called in a seamstress she knew to come and make the necessary repairs.
Keeping the Rain Out
The wedding party headed out to the church for the ceremony and upon their return for the reception found the weather had turned to rain. The catering staff and house supervisor had to become creative in their attempt to keep everything dry and comfortable for the guests that were beginning to arrive.
The after event reports from the house supervisor, caterer, and Chris and Ryann themselves said they despite the wardrobe malfunction and rain, everyone had a great time. The bride and groom were very happy overall with their wedding day and were looking forward to some sunny days at the Cape.
We wish you both many blessings in your marriage and in the many, many years to come.
