Family Fun

Join us on Saturday, March 27th for our Macaroni Kid Bunny Trail Egg Hunt Fundraiser at Tarrywile Park & Mansion organized by Meghan Friedland, and presented by Dental Associates Kids with sponsorship from Immanuel Lutheran School in Danbury. While this is our 4th year holding an egg hunt at Tarrywile, this year’s event will be different in that there will be no activities inside the mansion. It will take place entirely outside and will follow all local health/safety guidelines.

The Bunny Trail Egg Hunt will be a pre-ticketed, timed-entry, one-way trail to allow for social distancing fun for the entire family! The Easter Bunny will be available for a socially-distant photo and each child will get to take home a fun-filled goody bag to enjoy at home!

How will it work?

First, families must purchase a ticket for the Bunny Trail Hunt online. Multiple 20-minute sessions are available between 9 am and 12 pm as well as 1 pm and 4 pm. On Saturday, March 27th, families will arrive and  check-in at the driveway entrance to Tarrywile Park and Mansion. Families will be directed to drive up and park in the upper parking lot where after a short wait inside the car, a volunteer will allow one family at a time to get out and head out on the Bunny Trail.

Each family will follow the festive, one-way trail collecting candy and toy-filled eggs left by the Easter Bunny at numbered stations along the way. There will also be letters to collect at each station which kids can unscramble for a special message from the Easter Bunny. At the last stop along the trail, you will have the opportunity to pose for a socially-distant photo with the Easter Bunny. Each child will then be given a goody bag filled with fun crafts, activities, treats and more to enjoy at home.

About the Terrain – Dress Appropriately!

The Bunny Trail will be located around the mansion grounds and will take approximately 15 minutes to walk through. While we will not be heading into any wooded areas, the path will involve some hill spots and areas of uneven footing. Please wear appropriate foot attire and leave strollers in the car.

We can’t wait for you to join us! Purchase your ticket in-advance now as this event will very likely sell out. Cars without a pre-registered ticket will be turned away. No walk-ups will be permitted.

Donations Welcome

A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to Tarrywile Park & Mansion who has suffered great financial loss due to the pandemic. There will be an opportunity upon online checkout to make an additional donation. All donations are greatly appreciated especially since this year we are unable to raffle off Easter Baskets which we have done for the past three years.
