From “First Look” to 50th Anniversary

Corporate Function, First Look, 50th Anniversary

The past two months have brought various types of events to Tarrywile Mansion. The last Monday in June, our neighbors Schaeffler Aerospace, hosted a group of local and international clients with an evening of dinner and entertainment. The team planning the event were looking for a location where their guests would experience a bit of New England charm. What better location than a historic, century-plus, Victorian Mansion nestled in the heart of Danbury, Connecticut.

A Jewish Wedding Ceremony

On Sunday, June 30th, Sarah and Caleb were married on the covered veranda surrounded by 85 of their family and friends. The couple held a cocktail reception in the Mansion following the wedding ceremony. As the wedding photos were being taken, the veranda was transformed into an area for guest dining. The conservatory was the chosen location for the band, with dancing in the formal drawing-room.

We would like to wish them both all the best as they build their new lives together.

A 50th Anniversary Celebration

The 50th-anniversary celebration for Connie and Bill was hosted by their daughter, Meagen, at Tarrywile Mansion on Saturday, July 13th. The surprised and happy couple were joined by seventy close family and friends who traveled near and far to share in their joy. Thank you Meagen for choosing Tarrywile to be a part of their golden celebration.

Connie and Bill: May this special golden anniversary bring you more joy, love, laughter, and success than you could ever imagine.

A July Tent Wedding

Congratulations to Nsangi and Max, who exchanged wedding vows under the grape arbor, then proceeded to celebrate with a tent reception on the conservatory lawn. The day was a bit warm but that didn’t stop their family and friends from celebrating the marriage of this wonderful couple.

Thank you for choosing Tarrywile Mansion as the venue for your wedding day. We wish you much joy in your marriage and throughout the years to come.

“First Look”

The first week in July, I received a call from a bride, Natalia, who lives in Atlanta, Georgia, looking for a comfortable location to have her hair and make up done, as well as for her bridesmaids, maid of honor, and mother of the bride. The wedding was booked at a different location later that night, so instead of crowding everyone into one hotel room or a bland conference room, Natalia chose our beautiful historic home.

The groom dropped off everything they would need the day before.

The bride and her wedding party arrived promptly at 7:00 am on Friday, July 19, followed by, her hairdresser, makeup artist, and photographers. The groom and his groomsmen were across the hall getting ready as well. Before leaving for the wedding ceremony/reception, the photographers were able to capture the “getting ready”, “bridal party”, and “first look” photos before the whirlwind of their wedding began.

We were happy to be able to play a small part in making Natalia and Chris’s wedding day all they imagined it would be.

Our last event for July 2019 was a graduation celebration for one of our own. Friends and family came out to celebrate his achievement and to wish him well.  Zach, our event supervisor for the last 5 years, graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Industrial Design.

The Industrial Design program emphasizes conceptualization, design, and production of products for personal, home, industrial and commercial use, ranging from domestic and consumer products to medical, entertainment, and more.

Zach graduated among the top of his class from their Shintaro Akatsu School of Design and came in third at the prestigious National Transportation and Safety Design Competition.

He is on his way to starting a rewarding career with a position in the prototyping department at Product Ventures in Fairfield, CT.

We wish him the best with all his future endeavors.
