Earlier this Month, we talked about the fact that the City of Danbury only partially funds us. So how much of the money in the City budget actually goes to Tarrywile you ask? The City budget is $250,500,000 of that Tarrywile receives only $218,153.00 or 0.087%.
The above figure of $218,153,00 must stretch to cover 722 acres of property, 17 buildings including 3 rental properties as well as the 120+ historic mansion. As the nation is continually seeing green space disappear it is imperative, not more than ever, that the citizens of Danbury and the surrounding towns that enjoy our park, pitch in to ensure Tarrywile Park remains a free, open resource for generations to come.
